Hello My name is Akila Alston and I am Bobby Alston's daughter -- do you have a quarter?
I would start my story off like this. See my dad was a jazz musician and I lost my dad July 29th 1994. He was well known in Columbus Ohio.
My story is not long it is short and sweet. See because I miss sitting in band practice with my father and sitting at the bar counter getting .25 cents from the band members during their closed band rehearsals.
With that .25 cents I purchased a bag of honey roasted nuts and a virgin Shirley-temple at the age of 7.
I believe and I will never forget that because that was the best time of many that I spent with my dad.
Hey and a quarter went a long way.
