When You Think Of Giving Up -- Don't

There are times in our life when we feel overwhelmed, tired, lost; it is at times like these that we just want to give up and quit.

The thought of having to deal with, what we consider unsolvable problems, grabs a hold of us and saps our last bit of energy.

It is at times like these that you must learn to reach out to others or to a higher power for your motivation.

Pope John Paul XXIII had the right idea when he said:

Consult not your fears but your hopes and your dreams.

Think not about your frustrations,

but about your unfulfilled potential.

Concern yourself not with what you tried and failed in,

but with what it is still possible for you to do.

He was pointing you in the right direction, don't focus on the problem --- focus on solutions -this will empower and motivate you.

STOP for a moment and consider the lesson the following videos teach.

Note Think about this for a moment -- you are not the only one with problems in this world -- many -many more people in this world would gladly trade places with you and your problems.

Don't forget that you are never alone, never without help if you choose to believe.

So now the choice is yours -- do you choose to continue to immerse yourself in your worries, fears, problems?

OR do you choose to take action {empowering & motivating yourself} in finding a way out?

Only YOU can decide

Why Do People Stress Out?

People feel stressed out when they believe that the problem at hand is overwhelming.

Feeling stressed out means that you are confused, unsure of what to do and focusing mainly on the problem and not on solutions

Many people tend to get angry, disillusioned and are overtaken by a sense of despair.

As a result, many stressed out persons will lash out at others, pointing fingers, finding fault with them, complaining but not addressing the real problem.

And what is the real issue that should be addressed? The fact that the stressed out person, (in the majority of the cases), is in the position that he/she is in --- because of personal choices they made in the past.

The good news is that there is a way out of stress. The way out is by taking control of the situation { and gain empowerment, motivation}.

Let me explain.

The main component of stress is the feeling {fear} of uncertainty. You overcome this fear by looking for {focusing on} a solution to the problem {empowering & motivating}.

Once you take this step you will realize that usually there is more than one solution to your problem.

Now that you are focusing on solutions, your mind replaces the "fear of the unknown" with {hope, a light at the end of the tunnel}plausible solutions you can implement.

Note Let's be clear about something ---focusing on solutions is going to require work.

You will have to make some very tough decisions and implement changes to deal with the problem at hand.

It means taking inventory, changing some or many of the things you have been doing and accepting responsibility for your actions.

Have you ever considered that to change your circumstances you have to start by changing you?

You may not be able to change other people or the things that happen to you --- BUT you can change how you react to them.

You see, you make the choice on how you choose to see & handle things.

Once you make the decision to take control or empower yourself your future is in your hands.

Why?

Because no matter what you go thru ------- You get to decide how you will let it affect you.

Notice that it is all about you.

xxxcontinue below.

*******

Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day;

while failure is simply a few errors in judgment, repeated every day.

It is the accumulative weight of our disciplines

and our judgments that leads us to either

fortune or failure.

quote by Jim Rohn

*******

Tony Robbins, a man I greatly admire, has often said: "The past does not equal the future."

So take note -- When a major problem shows up in your life--focus on finding a solution ---not on the problem this step will help you overcome any stress associated with the problem.

*******

If you wait to do everything until you're sure it's right,

you'll probably never do much of anything.

quote by Win Borden

*******

Something else I want you to remember, You are not the only one with problems.

If you look around I am sure that you will find many people who would gladly trade places with you.

So the people is that you are not alone, many others are also dealing with stressful situations ---- and are finding ways to deal with them ---SO CAN YOU.

You mission for today is to step back, look at the big picture, look for a solution {that empowers & motivates you}, make the necessary changes and move on.

Until tomorrow, keep walking

Overcome Your Fear of Failure

There are times in your life when nothing seems to be working right. You can blame it on circumstances, you can blame it on luck, you can blame it on someone else; but that will not solve your problems.

It is at times like these that you must take a deep breath and look inward. You must decide if you will continue to "react" to what life is giving you, or if you will "take action, empower & motivate yourself" and take control of your life.

Sounds easy enough to do, but in reality it requires that you summons the courage to overcome your fear of failure.

The question is how do you do this?

Read what one of football's greatest coaches had to say.

*****

If you believe in yourself and have the courage,

the determination, the dedication, the competitive drive

and if you are willing to sacrifice the little things in life

and pay the price for the things that are worthwhile,

it can be done.

quote by Vince Lombardi

*****

Watch and Listen to what one of the world's great motivator has to say.

The way to overcome your fear is to face it. Start by defining what "failure" means to you. Then revisit that meaning and change it {this is an empowering & motivation builder}.

For example, every time you try something and it doesn't work out how you expected; you have not failed --rather --you learned something new {you gained experience}

Read a little about the life of one of our greatest inventors Thomas Edison.

He failed at least 10,000 times before he invented the light bulb. So how did he handle so many failures? Read what he said-

"I have not failed.

I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work"

Success is a matter of continuing to seek to improve your mind, your body, your skills, your motivation and taking action.

Do not allow life's little setbacks to discourage, frustrate or prevent you from moving forward. Every single person on this earth has had to deal with unwelcomed obstacles in his/her life.

If they have found ways to overcome, motivate themselves and persevere -- so can you.

*******

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,

and lean not on your own understanding.

In all your ways acknowledge Him and

He shall direct your paths.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Take Time To Be Thankful

Welcome back,

Sometimes we become so concerned with our problems that we forget to give thanks for the things we do have.

Being thankful and blessing others will always come back to us multiplied many times over.

Take the focus off what you are trying to accomplish, find a quiet place and reflect on what you have to be thankful for.

You may not consider what you have as much but.... Just remember that there is always someone in a worst situation than you.

And the important thing to have in mind is -- that you are not comparing what you have with others, but rather that you are just being thankful that you have it.

This mind shift from "want" to "thankfulness" will make a tremendous difference in your life.

You will not understand it until you actually experience it.

*****

Do not be anxious about anything,

but in everything by prayer and petition,

with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Philippians 4:6

Have you been blessed? Would you like to share your story with the world? Reach out to others --- you never know what a difference you might make to someone else

The Question Is How?

Dealing with problems, setbacks, or just plain everyday obstacles can sometimes be frustrating if you use the wrong approach.

And what is the wrong approach?

Focusing on the problem and not on the solution. Focusing on the problems creates more tension, frustration and fear of failure.

To overcome this situation ---here is what you need to do

Ask yourself HOW do I solve this problem?

This action creates a "mind shift" from "problem fearing" to "Problem Solving" --- Asking HOW opens up your mind to many possibilities {it also empowers & motivates you} that you will not obtain while you are in a stressful, fearful state.

listen to Brian as he explains what "successful" people do.

You too can achieve your goals, overcome your daily problems --- if you learn to model {do what others have already done} people who have already taken this journey.

Reaching your goals, becoming successful, overcoming problems, motivating yourself is not a one day thing -- it is an everyday thing --- good habits consistently practiced over and over again.

So now that you know the right question to ask --- all that remains is for you to put it into practice.

It has been said that "knowledge is power" -- but don't forget that it is only true if you use it

So use it to empower and motivate yourself--put what you learn into practice.

Until tomorrow, keep walking
