A New Day, A New Beginning
As you begin your New Year -- start by being thankful -- remember to tell those that have influenced your life in a positive way -thanks
Do not assume that others know what is in your heart or your mind.
Family and friends need to "hear" that you appreciate them. So do it now -- call them, write them, email them, text them --whatever works for you.
Spend some time today reviewing the past year -- on what you learned -- make any adjustment you need to make to your goals-- and continue on your self- improvement journey.
You set the pace at which you will move forward.
You may need to make some hard choices -- do not put this step off.
-- Learn to deal with tough issues as soon as they appear.

and your actions determine your results,
but first you have to believe."

Note Remember the importance of "starting off on the right foot" -- this means being prepared, knowing where you are headed, knowing which roads you want to avoid.
So take today to reflect on the past year -be thankful & do what you know needs to be done, and prepare yourself for the rest of your life.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Fill your mind with possibilities, fill your mind with empowering thoughts, fill your mind with a clear vision of what you want to accomplish --- than take action to get you there.
Some people are so afraid of making a mistake that they never reach their full potential -- they dream of what could have been -- but stay stuck in their "comfort zone" never to realize their goals.
Are you one of those people? Is something holding you back from heading towards your dreams ?

"It is only those who never do anything who never make mistakes."
quote by A. Favre
*****
It is not the "mistake" that matters - what matters is whether or not you learn from your mistakes.
Life consists of doing, and learning, adjusting and doing some more.
Every single person who has decided to head towards their "dream" has had to overcome obstacles & difficulties.
What enabled them to succeed?
They overcame their fear and took action.

"Nothing will ever be attempted if all possible objections must be overcome."

You cannot sit and wait for everything to be "just perfect" before you head towards your goals. I have often said that good things need to be repeated.
So watch, listen and apply.
Once you believe --You will realize that you are much more capable, and have much greater abilities than you thought possible.
Once you take your first step -- new possibilities will start to open up for you.
Don't be afraid of making a mistake -- head towards your goals determined that nothing will stop you from reaching them.
You will be amazed how much progress you can make when you believe.
As you start this new year it is important that you decide what is important to you.
If you really want to make changes in your life -- you need to plan what direction you will take.
One of the best ways to make the changes you want is by having a plan you can follow.
Your written plan is a list of your goals {as detailed as possible} -- your goals show you the direction you are headed towards.
Let's review the steps you need to take in order to reach your goals {put your plan in action}.
Step #1 Commit to change.
Step #2 Sit down and write the benefits of your decision. Write down what your new goals are & what you will gain.
Step # 3—Set a (reasonable) time-line for you goals.
Step #4 Sit in a quiet place and look at what you have written down. You are going to fine-tune your road map.
Make sure goals & time line are realistic----- and that you Make The Necessary Changes
Step #5 Keep going-- Insuring to replace all the previously negative habits with new empowering habits.
Side-note –{making changes & sticking to them is sometimes difficult—keep your mind focused on those things that inspire & empower you.
-- The library is a great place to find books on people who have made great changes in their life. Or buy one here.
Take a book out--carry it with you—read it during lunch or on your way to & from work.}
I suggest that you go back and read all the past blogs in which I have explained how belief, focus and other factors affect your decisions. Blog Archives
Take a good look at yourself and decide what you need to change in order to move forward -- So take inventory =
1. Who do you spend time with?
2. Where do you spend your time?
3. How do you spend your time?
4. What do you feed your mind?
Note Self assessment is one of the most important steps as you start your journey -- bad habits, bad friends and old ways of thinking need to change if you want to get different results.
"He who knows others is learned;
He who knows himself is wise."
Quote by Lao-tzu
Please take note that your goal is to change yourself --how you think, how you act, what you do , how you spend your time, the action you take{empowering yourself}.
You take control of your future as you decide the direction your life will take.
Think about the things we have discussed today -- and take action.
