The short answer is they never get done. The long answer is that procrastination creeps in allowing you to create one excuse after another justifying why you will not take action --and sapping your motivation.
Have you ever experienced procrastination? Once it starts to grow, it is harder and harder to overcome it.
Note I have good news.
The answer to overcoming procrastination is to stop thinking & start doing.
Sometimes "over-analyzing" something gets in the way of getting things done --{and it can become an excuse for not starting}
Tony Robbins, a well know motivational speaker recommends taking "massive action" as a way to change your life.
I have a great deal of respect for Tony and he has proven that his methods work, but here is the catch, people are different --what works for one may not necessarily work for another.
If you are unable to take "massive action" to change your life --than take a smaller step--- Build up your confidence and take another small step The important thing is to start.
Here is what you need to remember -- even if the step you take does not work, at least you have learned something. As long as you are learning (get experience) than you are better off than yesterday.
That is what human existence is all about -- learning new things, and applying that knowledge in order to improve our lives.
Note Remember that every single human being on this earth makes mistakes.
What is important is to use what you learn to take better action, and thus continue to learn and grow.
**********
Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs,
even though checkered by failure,
than to take rank with those poor souls
who neither enjoy much nor suffer much,
because they live in the gray twilight
that knows neither victory nor defeat.
quote by Theodore Roosevelt
***************************
I have great news for you-- if you are reading this blog, than you are headed in the right direction.
Why?
Because you are taking action and learning; now apply this knowledge and head for your goal.
Fill your mind with possibilities, fill your mind with empowering thoughts, fill your mind with a clear vision of what you want to accomplish --- than take action to get you there.
Whether you believe you can accomplish something or not makes it so for you.
So the first question to ask is --"what do you believe?"
You can apply this process to any topic. Once you have stated "what you believe" -- the next question to ask is "why do you believe that?"
Your answer will be -- "because"
The statement you make after the "because" is either an "empowering statement" or a "limiting belief." As the names imply, your belief will either motivate you or hold you back.
If your belief is a limiting believe -- in other words, a belief that states why you cannot do something -- here is what you need to do.
1. Question the belief. Ask yourself "why" you believe that way. Ask yourself who taught you that belief.
2. Look around and see if someone else believes the opposite. Look to see what that other person is doing that enables them to overcome your "limiting belief."
The point here is to determine whether your belief is real or not {if your belief doesn't stop others from accomplishing their goals -- then your belief is false.)
For example, "limiting belief" --I'm too old -- I'm too young -- I don't have the money -- I don't have the time -- I don't have the education -- I don't have the experience --etc.
So now that you know what a limiting belief is ----be on the look-out.
Listen to yourself SPEAK-----AND---listen to yourself THINK
When you catch yourself thinking or speaking a limiting belief---STOP!
Rephrase what you were saying or thinking into something positive and move on.

"The good Lord gave you a body that can stand most anything.
It's your mind you have to convince."
quote by Vince Lombardi

It all starts with you. Accepting responsibility for your life and your actions puts the "power in your hands."
You now get to decide what steps you will take to reach your goals.
This is the crucial step that everyone must take to make their dream come true.
Dreaming is the start, it is the seed that grows in your mind, but to bring this dream to life (reality) you must act.
Remember that:
*****
Life does not consist in thinking,
it consists in acting.
quote by Woodrow Wilson
******
The power to take action is in your hands, it always has been -- so it is you who decides whether to act or not --- do not blame anyone else.
*****
Don't let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something
stand in the way of you doing it.
quote by Earl Nightingale
*****
Earl had it right. Often time we are our own worst enemy. Why? Because we make a list in our mind as to why we can’t do something.
1. Don’t have the time.
2. Don’t have the money.
3. Don’t know how.
4. I’m too old.
5. I’m afraid of failure
6. I’ll never change.
7. etc..etc..etc..
And the list goes on. So how do you start?
Change your focus- look at the possibilities---focus on what you do want---chart a course to get there.
Yes you do need a map if you don’t know where you are going. That road map is here. Start by filling your mind with positive -motivating, empowering thoughts.
Empower yourself with the wisdom of people who have been through tough times.
Stop-Look & Listen.

If you wait to do everything until you're sure it's right,
you'll probably never do much of anything.
quote by Win Borden

Just start!
And please remember to smile as you start your journey. Get excited, get motivated, get empowered.
What impact are you having on those around you? Take some quiet time today and think about this.
Reflect on your blessings of which every person has many,
not on your past misfortunes,
of which all people have some.
quote by Charles Dickens

Live in such a way that you would not be ashamed
to sell your parrot to the town gossip.
quote by Will Rogers
************
We humans do not live in a vacuum, our words and our actions touch others in different ways.
So before you speak, and before you act --take a step back and reflect how you influence the lives of others {Do you project motivation and inspiration?
Stay focused --stay motivated--stay empowered--learn from others.
Until tomorrow, keep walking

Life Consists Of Making Choices
Our daily lives consist of making one choice after another. The choices you make will determine whether you reach your goal or not.
Yesterday we discussed the fact that you will encounter many obstacles on your journey.
So remember that every choice you make, big & small, will produce results that either push you forward {motivate you} or hold you back.
The true measure of who you are and how strongly you desire to succeed is will become evident when times get hard.
***
The ultimate measure of a man
is not where he stands in moments of comfort,
but where he stands at times of challenge
and controversy.
quote by Martin Luther King Jr.
***
Note The choice is yours to make.
Remember the importance of the total package --- your thoughts, your words, your actions, how together they work to either push you forward {motivate you}, or hold you back.
If you have been following our Blogs, some of this may sound familiar.
And you are right, you see good things need to be repeated until they become second nature to us.
AND----they replace the “old negative habits” that seem to grab a hold of our minds.
The “old you” has to change in order to head in your new direction ------ towards your goals.
You have to take inventory, are you friends & acquaintances headed in your direction-----or----are they holding you back from your self—improvement journey?
Only you can answer this question-------Rest assured that you will get criticism and sometimes even hostility when you make a choice to reach for your goals.
Why?
There are some people who are afraid of change-------so they would rather stay in their “safe zone” even if it a place with a dead end.
The simple but true fact of life is that youbecome like those you closely associate -- for the good and the bad.
Deciding who you will spend your time with is your choice -- so choose wisely -- but stay focused on where you want to go as you decide.
Sometimes the hardest part ----is taking that first step-------go ahead eat that frog & continue your journey.
As you move closer and closer to your goal the decisions you will have to make will get more difficult.
Why?
Because you may have to make changes to things you are familiar with such as: the places you go to, the foods you eat, the books and movies you read and see and of course -- the people you spend time with.
That is why it is so important to work on your motivation.
