How To Let Go Of----

Welcome back,

This past week we focused on keeping a smile on our face & spreading the sunshine.

This week we will focus on the act of letting go.

Now that is a pretty big topic, so as usual we will keep it short & simple.

Letting Go Of Anger

Today we start with a biggie ----- ANGER

Just saying the word brings on "negative vibes" or "feelings".

Note --- You recall that I have said previously that our feelings will determine the kind of day we have

so our job is to control how we feel.

Annnnnd how we "feel" is a result of "what we focus on".

In order to "let of anger" we have to replace the thought that makes us angry with something else.

Sounds easy enough but we all know how difficult it can be.

"Anger thoughts" have a way of creeping into our minds in an endless loop.

I find that one of the best way to deal with "anger thoughts" is by engaging

All of our senses--- our sight, our smell, our taste, our sense of touch.

Why you ask? So that we don't give "anger" a chance to creep in.

Here we go----

1. Look at something or someone that brings you pleasant thoughts.

2. Smell something that brings you pleasure {a flower,coffee,cake, etc.}

3. Drink the coffee, eat the cake, walk in the woods.

4. Hug someone you love, person, animal, walk by the ocean---lake --–touch the water.

I strongly advice that you do something that is active—--involving movement.

You want to engage your whole body in the process, thus changing you Focus. Super charge your motivation.

Remember---that motion= change. When you move your body you are in a state of constant change.

---WHEN you give in to "anger"---you give up your power---you are not in control--- "anger is"

Lastly---Remember to keep a smile on your face---that action helps to trigger thoughts of enjoyment.

So practice this method of controlling "anger" and soon you'll be laughing in "anger's" face.

Don't let anger misdirect your motivation.

Letting Go Of------

Welcome back,

This week we are discussing ways of "letting go". Yesterday we started by discussing --– "letting go of anger".

It's such a big issue that I want to discuss it just a little more.

Do you know someone who seems to be in a constant state of "anger"? --- Perhaps you?

Note Our bodies & minds will relive our thoughts in the present.

In other words, when you allow you mind to entertain thoughts of "anger" --- this is what happens ----

---your body produces --- certain chemicals, it activates your muscular & nervous systems, putting your whole body into a "fight ready mode"

--– you get tense —-- you yell or you clench your teeth —-- your whole body is involved.

--- It does not matter that the event —--- that made you angry happened yesterday or the day before that ---

--- your mind & body are experiencing the "anger", now and again, over & over.

OK, you got the picture -—-- Look here is the point I am trying to make ----

You can also produce a state of "happiness" --- "contentment" ---peace” ---- motivation, by purposely replacing your "anger" thoughts with positive thoughts.

If nothing else stays with you ---- remember this nobody makes you angry ---- YOU allow yourself to become angry.

You have the power to control your thoughts (your focus) and thus your "state of being"

This is a point that I have been repeating over & over. Use your power wisely.

Something else --- there are some people --- who know that they can get "under your skin" and purposely do things to annoy you ------

---------- WHY?? --------- because it gives them a sense of power —-- of control.



It takes practice --- they will try to bait you into a confrontation

keep your cool, focus on what you want to accomplish, control your state of being.

Don't give up your power.

---- MISERY LOVES COMPANY! ---- so of course they want you to join them.

Letting Go Of Disappointment

Welcome back,

Today we continue our weekly topic "letting go" let’s talk a little about "letting go of disappointment"

Sometimes things don't turn out the way you hoped they would.

You were expecting a promotion, or a salary increase, or a new car loan approval ---

in short --- You didn’t get what you wanted.

It is ok to feel disappointment —- it’s part of your emotional internal wiring — that allows you to feel -- joy & pain.

However, it is not good to continue to dwell on the disappointment---

that will put your mind & body into an “unhappy”—“negative state”---

NOTE---life has its ups & downs---------learn to expand on the ups-----And to minimize the downs.

Here is how to do this

1. Remember our conversation on "FOCUS"?? [What you focus on determines your “state” or "mood".

2. Ask yourself — what can I do to improve my odds of getting {fill in the blanks} the next time around? You see – now you are thinking in a positive mode ---

3. Keep yourself busy — keep your body & mind in action — pushing the - negative disappointing thoughts ----------- out.

4. Be Thankful ----- for what you do have.

Focusing on what you do have gets the positive energies flowing ---------------- there are so many people in this world who have so little — compared to you..

5. Lastly ---------- where there is "Hope & Belief" — there is an opportunity for success.

Learn from your past — and — move on.

Stay positive — stay motivation --- Don’t Ever Give Up

Feeling better now? ------ GOOD

Letting Go ------

Welcome back,

Yesterday, we continued our discussion on “letting go” with the emphasis on “disappointment” ---

I hope that you used the steps I outlined to help you re-focus your energies.

Remember that you are not alone. Every single one of us, at one time or another, has or will experience disappointment.

The important thing to remember ---- is for us to accept it as a learning experience ----- and --- move on.

Break the habit of --- living in the past.

You have the power to create- a new & better future for yourself ---------------

IF — you allow yourself to do it.

YOU is the key word here --- you have the power --- do not give it away.

Instead of dwelling on ---------- what could have --- would have --- should have -----

Focus on what you will do.

How? ----- Planning -— write down your new goals. Set reasonable time-lines. Search.

What I mean by “search” --- is to get material that talks about you new goal.

Get books that talk about others that have achieved the goal you seek.

Talk to people who have reached that same goal.

Listen to music --- see a video --- engage your whole person (body) in the process.

By doing these things ----- you are taking you mind off of the disappointment --- and re-focusing it on your new goal.

It is a process --- just take one step after the other.

Safety Alert

Welcome back,

Today I want to discuss with you ---

Safety in the Home.

I received an e-mail which warned about the potential hazards of hand sanitizers.

Apparently some children have ingested the liquid either by licking their hands or drinking the liquid.

Many if not all hand sanitizers contain 50% or more alcohol ---- more than most alcoholic beverages.

So ---- if you have hand sanitizer in your home ---- please insure that children do not have access to it unless they are under the supervision of an adult.

If you take your child to day care — please discuss this with the day care providers.

Finally if your child is in school, bring this info to the attention of the person in charge.

One more word of caution for those of you who have older children --------- Pay attention ---- older children & teenagers have a way of experimenting with things ----– that they shouldn’t.

Stay Alert ----- and Stay Safe and stay motivated.

Letting Go --- Let’s Move On

Letting Go---For Good

Welcome back,

We are spending this week discussing letting go which can be easy for some —- but very difficult for others.

Too often you place the blame on yourself and in a sense “punish yourself” by staying stuck in a cycle of despair.

If the disappointment you are experiencing was your fault----then learn from it and move on.

You can’t change the past ----- but you can change your future.

The same rule applies if it wasn’t your fault — learn form it and move on.

What you have now is --- “experience” ---

knowing what you have learned puts you in a stronger & more knowledgeable position than you were before

your “disappointment” --- - and hopefully this knowledge will help you in the future.

Focus on all the "good" that you have---be thankful---Let that be your starting point to move on.

Lets work on your motivation.
