I wake up every morning in a bed and when it's cold outside I have some where to go where it is warm.

I have never gone hungry a day in my life, nor have I ever been without clothes.

Don't get it twisted, I have had to deal with a lot of negative things in my life 2.

1st off I'm a crack baby and I have lived with my grandmother my whole life. That's my heart she took me in before CPS did (so I learned 19 years later).

But in spite of the negative things, I attended school {elementary through High} and graduated!!

I made my grandmother, mother and (!BROTHERS) so proud.

And Yes I have 3 older brothers who loves me dearly!!!!

My mother ran the streets more than she was with her kids but she didn't forget she had kids.

To me, my grandmother was and still is the strongest black women alive just knowing and observing everything she has been through.

My father passed away when I was 14 years old of a disease which was caused by sharing needles.

He was a part of my life but was not a part of my life - miss him a lot though, he was my daddy.

Growing up I had a lot of negativity coming my way as if I wasn't nothing but a crack baby and was going to amount to nothing. It got to the point where I starting feeling the same way about myself.

-I talked to God one night; I mean I was crying my lil heart until I couldn't cry no more.

When I stopped I got this strong vibe that kept telling me I was gone be okay .

I knew it was God because from that day on NO 1 couldn't tell me anything I knew I was. Gone be something.

I just turned 20 and I have my own truck and my own apartment. I also have a good job and if God says the same I will be attending Houston Community College !!!

I can say I'm blessed now all I want is a baby who I can love and be a mother to!!!!!!

Thanks Tabitha for sharing your story with us.

I want you to remember that "negative people" {or people that are miserable} always want to make anyone they meet feel as they do.

So they do their very best to share their "negativity" by demeaning anyone their come in contact with.

Don't fall into their trap of believing their lies.

I hope you take the time to read about some very amazing and "empowered" women who have overcome tremendous obstacles in their lives.

Read their stories and learn from their experiences -- listen to their advice.

Maya Angelou and Oprah Winfrey are two of these amazing women.

Start by reading some of their quotes which I have posted on this web site -- then go to the library and take out a book on their biographies --learn from them.

If you should ever start to feel that life is too hard -- I want you to look at the video below and realize how truly blessed you are.

Stay in touch -- and stay motivated
