Make It A Habit To Smile
Welcome back,
Let’s start the today with an upbeat note.
Make it a habit to wake up happy.Put a smile on your face & say today will be a good day. Then make it so — no matter what.
Make it a habit to smile
How you ask?
Easy — keep your focus on all that is good. There is plenty around—just take the time to notice.
Here’s a little tune that is easy to remember
When you hit a little bump in the road just recall this tune in your mind & smile.
It is hard to be sad if you have a smile on your face. There is an old law of physics that states: “An object in motion will tend to stay in motion”
I believe this also applies to our “states of being” {how we feel, how we view life, our attitude}
In other words people who are “upbeat & happy” tend to stay that way --and people who are miserable are always looking for company.
Do not allow them to pull you into their sphere of negative influence.
They are easy to identify because they are always complaining about something, nothing is ever good enough, they find fault with everyone, ----yet --- they never do anything to improve themselves {according to them it is always someone else's fault}.
On the other hand happy people always look for the good, the positive in life.
Sure they will have their moments — but — then they manage to redirect their focus and stay positive {this is part of the empowering process}.
You can do it too — keep practicing.
until tomorrow — keep walking

Some things are worth repeating — stick with it - one step at a time.
You know what we say "good things need to be repeated." So let's repeat something we have talked about before.
I hope that you have had some positive experiences by sharing your smile.
You see — a smile on your face instantly transforms you into a beacon of light ---people will naturally be attracted to you.
It is an intrinsic part of human nature to seek the light --- and it gives YOU — the opportunity to share something positive with others.
I keep repeating this point – because it is so important --- by sharing your blessings --- you bless others.– And — by blessing others --- it makes you feel good {and you empower yourself}
You will start to notice a sense of satisfaction & well-being when you are able to give something of value to someone else.
I hope that you have noticed a shift in our thinking & hence our goals.
It is not only about helping yourself [and thus reaching your goals] — it is also about sharing your new found “state of being” – your happiness with others.
Encourage others, give them hope, share your enthusiasm with them.
You are sharing your sunshine & feeling good about it. Since we are talking about feeling good — I want to share with you the following song.
Listen & enjoy
Continue to look at your goals – make minor adjustments as needed — and stay on course.
Quote for today:
*******************************
“A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity;
an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.”
How can you become an optimist in a land of pessimists? Here is a simple way:
Start & finish your day with a smile on your face. This simple act will start the mood for your mind to focus on things that empower you.
When you are smiling, you are filling your mind and body with positive energy{empowering yourself}, and that is what you need to stay focused on your goals.
You will find that this is not as easy as it sounds because you will run into many people who will try to take your joy away.
So you must prepare yourself by recharging your batteries (rest your mind) and by knowing what to expect from others.
Remember – to schedule some quiet time for yourself at least every week even better — everyday.
Quiet time allows you to reflect on your life, your goals & your progress.
It also allows your body & mind to de - stress and empower yourself.
In your hectic everyday life — you are constantly being pulled in twenty different directions —- [no wonder you tend to feel overwhelmed]
so the time that you set aside to recharge [to empower yourself] -- is vital to your physical & mental well being.
******************************
Out of clutter, find simplicity.
From discord, find harmony.
In the middle of difficulty, lies opportunity.
quote by Albert Einstein
******************************
I want to finish this week off — the way we started --- by reminding you to keep a smile on your face. — Make it a habit.
If you are at work—I want you to look around---& purposely smile at anyone who looks back at you-
--not just today—but every day from now on.
Become know as “smiley” — spread that sunshine. You smile will open the door for you to start a positive, optimistic, empowering conversation with anyone.
**Remember that by following the five (5) easy steps which I have previously outlinedyou are changing your direction — your focus -- & -- and empowering your life.**
Don’t let anyone rain on your parade.
A song for you --- share it with someone —
Rod Stewart — The Way You Look Tonight
Another song for you --— because nothings brings a smile to one’s face like a love song.
Let's start the day with a bang. I'm keeping things short today. Believe in yourself--take empowering action--fill your soul with passion to keep you on your path.
*******************************
Believe and act as if it were impossible to fail.
quote by Charles Franklin Kettering
******************************
Don’t forget every day can be a great day if you choose to see it that way.
We spent a lot of time discussing –personal chances that each person has to make in order to move forward.
You have to change your old way of thinking—Start To Believe
Today I want to re-emphasize the importance of guarding what you FOCUS ON
**Your focus will determine your “state of being”—in other words –how you feel.
AND—how you feel will determine how you see your day. **
This is the KEY {to empowering yourself} for those of you who are still not sure---
Tomorrow we will start to once again review beliefs and focus and how they affect what you do or fail to do.
Until tomorrow, keep walking

Whether You Believe You Can Or You Can't, You're Right
Welcome back,
Over the past few weeks we have been discussing a number of steps you need to take in order to {empower yourself} reach your goals.
This week we continue with our discussions of your self-improvement journey. Today we will start to once again review beliefs and focus and how they affect what you do or fail to do.
These are two very important and complex topics, but as you know we try our very best to keep things simple.
NOTE- In our previous discussions, we have talked about ----
1. What you feed your mind----
2. Focus---
3. The company you keep---
4. Your beliefs---
5. Making minor adjustments…
Today we will go back and review item #4----Your beliefs.
If you have been following our blogs, you will note that we spoke about beliefs last month-----
----But as I have mentioned before — "some things need to be repeated until they become a habit".
Note---Sometimes we just do not realize what our “deep---seated” beliefs are. Another very important point to remember, your deep seated beliefs can be empowering or limiting.
We will continue to explain how they both -- impact your life and the decisions you make -- in our future articles.
As we said before, these are very complex subjects, but we want to break them down into simple, manageable pieces.
It’s really a simple matter---“if you don’t believe that you can-------you will not succeed.”
I am talking about really believing deep down in your heart.
Note—you can say all the positive affirmation you want- --you can read all the motivational books you want-- -you can listen to all the inspirational songs you want— but if you truly do not believe---guess what?...
The topic of belief has been spoken about from the beginning of time --- -in different ways-but with the same meaning:
"The good Lord gave you a body that can stand most anything.
It's your mind you have to convince."
Vince Lombardi
**************************
So what do you really believe -- about life, about money, about success? {Are they beliefs that empower you?}
What were you taught as a child about these topics?
Were you taught that nothing is impossible or were you taught to stop dreaming?
These early childhood teachings form the basis of many of your deep seated beliefs.
We keep emphasizing that it is all about you --- that you have to change to reach your goals.
So examine what you have been taught and decide whether it empowers you or it holds you back.
Does what you have been taught encourage you to improve (&empower) yourself, or does it make you afraid to try something different?
You cannot be wishy-washy about your determination to reach your goal.
*******************************
Believe and act as if it were impossible to fail.
quote by Charles Franklin Kettering
*******************************
You have to envision --yourself --accomplishing that goal.
And when a bump in the road appears-- -what do you do or say?
Tony Robbins has said it many times— “you have to ask yourself better questions—if you want to get better answers.”
In a nutshell, he is referring to that bump in the road. Some people will start saying –Why Me? What Now? --WRONG questions.
Do This Instead--Ask yourself—--OK so how do I find a way around this obstacle.
You will get a better answer.
Make your belief real—-see it--taste it-- feel it-–verbalize it. Commit to it.
**************************
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe,
all things are possible to him that believeth.
Mark 9:23
*************************
It’s all up to you.
Sometimes the hardest part ----is taking that first step-------go ahead eat that frog & continue your journey.
Champions aren't made in the gyms.
Champions are made from something
they have deep inside them--
a desire, a dream, a vision.
quote by Muhammad Ali
***********************************
“When the going gets tough ---- the tough get going”
Do you know what you really believe, or do you think you know?
What is the difference? The difference can mean success or failure in reaching your goals.
Very often you don’t realize the power that your beliefs have over your thinking, so it important that you know whether your beliefs empower you or hold you back.
Yesterday I asked you to examine what you were taught as a child about life, about money, about success.
If you were encouraged to improve yourself, if you were taught to believe in yourself, if you were supported in your decisions --we can conclude that your deep seated beliefs empower you.
However, if you were told that your dreams were impossible, that you didn't have the talent, that things would never change, that you should be happy with your status in life ---then we can conclude that you have deep seated }dis-empowering}limiting beliefs.
Please understand that I have simplified this matter to illustrate my point --- (anyone can have limiting beliefs)
OK- so what are limiting beliefs?
As the name implies; they are beliefs that limit you. And very often you don’t realize the power they have over your thinking.
Have you ever said—“Yes I would but” {here comes the limiting belief part}
Or—“Oh I can’t because”—{add limiting belief} Others that we have heard before:-- Money doesn’t grow on trees—---You’ll never amount to much-----You’re a loser---You’re not cut out to--
--You can’t because you’re too--{fat-ugly-dumb-skinny-short-tall-etc-etc}
I’m sure that by now you get the point.
Action Plan
So now that you know what a limiting belief is ----be on the look-out.
Listen to yourself SPEAK-----AND---listen to yourself THINK
When you catch yourself thinking or speaking a limiting belief---STOP!
Rephrase what you were saying or thinking into something positive and move on.
For example—limiting belief –I can’t because I’m too old. Ask yourself has some other person who is my age accomplished what I want to do?
Yes!---you have just proven your limiting belief –to be wrong. Learn how they did it and follow their steps.
Now Change your belief-{empower yourself}.
Now I’ve condensed this info into a very short article, to make it as easy as possible.
Today you have learned to identify a limiting belief ---- it is up to you to take action
When a limiting thought pops into your head --- prove it wrong, and replace it.
Fill you mind will positive thoughts—surround yourself with inspiring, motivating, empowering people.
Start right now—watch & listen to this video You control your beliefs
Until tomorrow—keep walking

Everything Starts In Your Mind
Yes it is true, everything (your reality) starts in your mind. You think and then you act based on what you believe is possible [you either empower yourself or you don't].
Therefore, if you can control {or change} what you believe, you can control{or change} what you do and finally you will control{or change} the action you take ---- which will determine the direction you take.
And what feeds this thought process? Your deep seated beliefs and your deep seated limiting beliefs
Pay really close attention to:
1. Your thought process --- is it positive or is it negative? [What types of questions linger in your mind?]
2. Your words --- what type of words are you using? Positive or negative?
3. Your actions ------ what you doing? ---- Reacting or taking action that is moving you towards your goal or just thinking & re-thinking?
In the U.S. we have a saying "thinking outside the box" which simply means "looking at something from a completely different perspective.
In order to accomplish this, we have to put aside much of what we have been taught.
Please watch the following video which illustrates this point.
Putting aside what you have been taught can be scary.
However, remember this if you keep doing what you have been doing in the past, you will continue to get the same results.
Change will happen when you decide to take a different approach [you decide to empower yourself].
So pay very close attention to your deep seated beliefs, say them, write them down, examine them --- decide if they still apply to your life,
if they don't --replace them with empowering beliefs. {you can disprove a "limiting belief" by asking your self -
-Has someone else with similar circumstances overcome their situation and succeeded? If you answer "yes" your belief is false.
In life, when we want to make major changes to our life, we often have to open our minds to possibilities that previously we thought impossible.
Reading is a great source of knowledge{empowerment}. When you read about famous people you will usually find that they had to overcome tremendous obstacles to achieve their success.
The single most important quality that these famous people share is their belief that they could do what they set out to do. [And when they make a mistake --they learn from it and use it as an empowerment tool.]
This is what you need to do for yourself develop an unshakable belief that you too can accomplish your goal.
Once you do this, your mind will guide {empower} you in the steps you need to take to get there.
*****************************
If you wait to do everything until you're sure it's right,
you'll probably never do much of anything.
quote by Win Borden
***************************
Don't wait -- you thought about it -- now take action.
Today we continue with our discussions on beliefs.
We covered this topic back in July, but I want to republish it for our newer visitors and also to reinforce this week's lesson.
As you know we say that "good things need to be repeated" and that the steps we recommend should become habits for you.
Yesterday we briefly covered limiting beliefs & how they affect your life.
Yesterday I told you to :
Listen to yourself SPEAK ----- AND --- listen to yourself THINK
When you catch yourself thinking or speaking a limiting belief --- STOP!
Rephrase what you were saying or thinking into something positive{empowering} and move on.
Starting today I want you to do the following exercise to help you overcome any limiting beliefs that you may still have.
NOTEyou will need a small pocket notebook & a pen. Exercise
When you catch yourself thinking or speaking a limiting belief, I want you to stop & write it down in your notebook as follows:
1. IN the left hand page Write it down & put a big X thru it.
2. IN the right hand page ----write an empowering belief. You might be wondering why you need to do this exercise?---- TWO REASONS
1. You need to be aware of when a limiting belief enters your thoughts or your speech.
2. You have to stop it dead in its tracks!!
Remember that changes need to be made --- You have to be focused on where you are heading.
In addition, by physically doing something to identify and discard your old "limiting belief" you are taking control of your personal power (empowering yourself) and actively engaging your body and senses in this exercise.
I have previously discussed the importance of engaging all your senses in your journey to success. {see all prior blogs to catch up on past topics Blog Archives Page}It takes a bit of work – but you can do it.
Until tomorrow – keep walking

Dare To Dream Big --Then Take Action
Everything starts in your mind, but then you must take action to make it happen {taking action empowers you}.
************************
Don't let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something
stand in the way of you doing it.
quote by Earl Nightingale
************************
Earl had it right. Often time we are our own worst enemy. Why? Because we make a list in our mind as to why we can’t do something.
1. Don’t have the time.
2. Don’t have the money.
3. Don’t know how.
4. I’m too old.
5. I’m afraid of failure
6. I’ll never change.
7. etc..etc..etc..
And the list goes on. So how do you start?
Change your focus- look at the possibilities---focus on what you do want---chart a course to get there.
Yes you do need a map if you don’t know where you are going. That road map is here. Start by filling your mind with positive thoughts (start empowering yourself).
Empower yourself with the wisdom of people who have been through tough times.
Stop-Look & Listen --- then act
And please remember to smile as you start your journey. Get excited.
**********************
If you wait to do everything until you're sure it's right,
you'll probably never do much of anything.
quote by Win Borden
*********************
Just start!
Waiting to get things perfect before starting can turn into procrastination. {procrastination is a dream killer}
Taking baby steps will give you the momentum you need to reach your goal. You see, not everyone can take "massive" action to reach their goal --- each person is different.
So just the method that works for you.
Don’t make it a race---just a little bit a day will empower you to take bigger steps.
A 1000 mile journey starts with that first step. Stay on course.
In order to achieve success, you must first understand how you define success, and in the process you will get to know the true you.
By understanding how you define success, you will get to understand your belief system.
You will recall that we have previously said that your beliefs will determine the action you take or fail to take.
*************
He who knows others is learned;
He who knows himself is wise.
Quote by Lao-tzu
***************
Continue to examine your beliefs this weekend, and if need be, replace them with beliefs that empower you.
Remember that the changes you need to make start with "you" -- work on yourself and new possibilities will open up for you as you head towards your goals.
Note Your success or failure is determined by you -- on your definition -- if you believe that every time you learn something, you have succeeded, ---- than you will never fail.
