A Long Time Coming

It's been a long time coming, a life of abuse, torment, and anger.

A life of shame and no one to blame, but, myself, a person whose life has been a living hell.

Where were you, Dear Lord, when I needed you?

I couldn't feel you, I couldn't see you, I couldn't even hold you when I needed a hug.

I felt unwanted, unplugged, from a world with so much cruelty. How could I function in a world of evil.

Death crept upon me so many times, but, for some reason, you didn't want me to die.

So, I would wonder why?

What purpose do you have for me? What should I do?

You said, Go and tell the world of my love, That it comes from God above, and, that His love will never leave you nor will He forsake you.

His love is everlasting. It's been a long time coming and God's love has never left me.

His hand is always there for me to take a hold of when I need to hold on to something. His smile brightens even the darkest days.

His eyes shine even when there is no light. His heart is as big as the universe and His love wraps around the world for an eternity.

God is there for all of us, even when we think he's not.

It's the love, the joy, the compassion, the meekness, the humbleness, the gladness, the determination and the mind, body and soul that let's Him know that our hearts are pure and one with Him.

He knows how we think, how we feel, when we are right with Him, you will have everlasting life.

We need to forgive ourselves and, then, we need to ask God to forgive us.

My heart isn't bad, yes, sometimes I feel sad, God picks me up and brushes me off, I go about my day asking Him to put a job in my way.

Please, Lord, take this evil spirit from me so I can have a life where all I see is your smiling face, your sparkling eyes.

I need peace in my heart and trust in my soul, and a strong mind so I too will be able to find your true promise land and, I too can sit along your side In Heaven's deep blue skies.
